Purpose This study empirically investigates the impact of information technology(IT) investments on the financial and non-financial performance of a manufacturing firm. We examined the interaction effects of IT investments and strategic applications levels of information systems(IS). This study also demonstrated the three-way interaction effects of IT investments, levels of IS strategic applications, and perceived environmental uncertainty(PEU).
Design/methodology/approach For this study, empirical data were collected from 98 manufacturing firms with the structured questionnaires. The data were analyzed with multiple regression models, and partial derivatives were utilized to identify the directions of the impact.
Findings From the empirical results, it was found that when both the levels of IS strategic applications and the degrees of IT investments are high, the ratios of the costs of goods sold to total sales(RCGS) and the labor costs to total sales(RLCS) are decreased, as it were, the performance of a firm is improved. However, it was observed that when the levels of strategic IS are low, the high degrees of IT investments do not contribute to the improvement of a performance. The results showed that when the levels of strategic IS are high, the high degrees of IT investments incur the high RSAE not low RSAE. When PEU is considered, the empirical results showed that under the low degrees of PEU, the IT investments under high levels of strategic IS applications (strategic IT investments) improve the performance, as it were, low RCGS, and high degrees of perceived financial and non-financial performance. However, under high PEU, it was observed that high degrees of strategic IT investments do not increase the performance. When PEU is high, the strategic IT investments reduce RSAE, and under low PEU, RSAE is increased.

Purpose The research on the effective use of IS needs to embrace the alignment to organization learning process, which expands the limited focus on dynamic capability of IS use. In addition, it should be done in multi-level analysis with system, user, task, and organization. The current study suggests the inclusion of multi-level analysis of effective use of IS in the perspective of exploration and exploitation.
Design/methodology/approach This review selected the representative studies in IS discipline which have investigated the effective use of IS, dynamic capability, operational capability, exploration, exploitation, or organizational learning. In the search of academic archives with those keywords, seventeen papers which have been most cited were chosen and validated whether the focus constructs are directly theorized or validated the suggested keywords. In addition, the level of analysis was verified whether it includes one or more levels of system, individual, task, or organization. Based on the initial analysis of dynamic capability, the further review of research on explorational and exploitational capabilities was implemented.
Findings The present review study on previous literature on effective use of IS presented that it is largely implemented in the level of individual but few of them has included organization level. Similarly, the direct investigation of explorational and exploitational use of IS has not been done so much. The needs of study on effective use of IS in depth have been inquired for a decade. However, the review presented that it still lacks profound theories and empirical validations compared to those of adoption stage of IS. Based on the review, future research on the transition between explorational and exploitational use of IS is suggested.

Purpose Today, the increasing of internet use and the expansion of internet range provide us with many opportunities. Therefore, this study examine relation of perceived ease of use, perceived playfulness, perceived risk, perceived usefulness based on previous studies. And we examine the effect of O2O service satisfaction on continuous use intention. Also, we studied the relationship between perceived ease of use, perceived playfulness, perceived risk, perceived usefulness according to user innovation.
Design/Methodology A Structural Equation Model(SEM) method was used to test the theoretical framework based on a sample of 451 respondents who have experienced the O2O service. Factor analysis and confirmation factor analysis was conducted to check the reliability, convergency validity and discriminant validity. To test moderating effect of the user innovation, multi group analysis was conducted.
Findings First, perceived ease of use, perceived playfulness, perceived risk have significant effects on perceived usefulness. Second, perceived usefulness of O2O service have a positive effect on satisfaction. Third, satisfaction of O2O service have a positive effect on continuous use intention. The relationship that perceived ease of use, perceived playfulness, perceived risk affect perceived usefulness is differ depending on user innovation. Based on these findings, this study suggested to marketing practitioners the need for different approach by a user innovation.

Purpose With the development of Social Network Service(SNS) and mobile devices, many companies have been using the Facebook as a Word-of-Mouth(WOM) channel. This study examines the effects of psychological distance and message type on WOM using the Facebook's real messages. And the moderating effect of the message type on the relationship between psychological distance and WOM was also analyzed.
Design/methodology/approach A content analysis was used as a research method. A total 7,483 messages were collected from 50 companies' Facebook Fanpage (based on the ranking of socialbakers.com) and content analysis was conducted using human coding. As the influencing variables, the message type and psychological distance and the number of 'Likes', 'Share', and 'Comment' were used as the dependent variable. The R3.4.4 was used to perform descriptive statistics, cross-tab analysis, and analysis of variance(ANOVA).
Findings First, a larger proportion of Facebook messages have close psychological distance for all message types(information, advertisement, event, and customer relationship). Second, 'Like' and 'Comment' number were significantly higher in messages of close psychological distance. Third, the effects of psychological distance on 'Like', 'Share', and 'Comment' number were different according to message type. However, 'advertisement' message type had significantly more numbers for all WOMs('Like', 'Share', and 'Comment') in messages with close psychological distance.

Purpose This paper attempts to explain the recent expanding trend in Mobile Grocery Shopping(MGS). More specifically, the authors have applied the Post Acceptance Model(PAM) in order to examine the conceptual structure among the four constructs of 'Expectation Confirmation', 'Perceived Usefulness', 'User Satisfaction', and 'Continuance Intention to Use' in Mobile Grocery Shopping.
Design/methodology/approach Through a survey agency, data were collected from a sample of 312 consumers who had the previous experience in Mobile Grocery Shopping. The Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) analysis was conducted with the survey data using AMOS 22.0. Subsequently, 8,200 real customer data from an open market site were collected in order to find out their revisit and repurchase behavior.
Findings This study supported the causal relationships of Expectation Confirmation → Perceived Usefulness, Expectation Confirmation → User Satisfaction, Perceived Usefulness → User Satisfaction, and User Satisfaction → Continuance Intention to Use, but did not support the direct effect of Perceived Usefulness on the Continuance Intention to Use Mobile Grocery Shopping. This implies that consumers with any experience in Mobile Grocery Shopping would not consider repurchase, unless they are satisfied with the experience even though they perceive its usefulness. Also, Expectation Confirmation has much larger effect on User Satisfaction than Perceived Usefulness. In addition, the real customer data showed that the revisit and the repurchase rate of mobile grocery shoppers were higher than those of online grocery shoppers, although the rates of adding to shopping carts, coupon downloads, and adding to favorites are similar.

Purpose SNS (Social Network Service) is one of new promising marketing tools which allow marketer to do two-way communication and social interaction. Three characteristics of SNS marketing including informativeness, interactivity, and playfulness are distinguished from traditional marketing. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships between three characteristics of SNS marketing, brand image, and purchase intention. 
Design/methodology/approach The present study proposed a research model integrating SNS marketing characteristics, brand image, and purchase intention represented by structural equation modelling and four hypotheses. A total of 20 questionnaire items for five variables were developed and measured by using five point Likert scale. 199 valid data were collected and used to test four hypotheses using SmartPLS.
Findings Three hypotheses that the characteristics of SNS marketing such as informativeness, interactivity, and playfulness have a positive influence on brand image were supported at the significance level of 0.05 and 0.001 respectively. The hypothesis regarding the relationship between brand image and purchase intention was also supported at the significance level of 0.001. Brand image plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between SNS marketing and purchase intention. In particular, the result of research that playfulness of SNS marketing affects brand image significantly suggests a new future research theme regarding spiritual marketing. Implications for academics and practitioners were suggested.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to develop intelligent vehicle parking distribution system based on LoRa network at the circumstance of traffic congestion during cultural festival in a local city. This paper proposes a parking dispatch and distribution system using a Q-learning algorithm to rapidly disperse traffics that increases suddenly because of in-bound traffics from the outside of a city in the real-time base as well as to increase parking probability in a parking lot which is widely located in a city.
Design/methodology/approach The system get information on realtime-base from the sensor network of IoT (LoRa network). It will contribute to solve the sudden increase in traffic and parking bottlenecks during local cultural festival. We applied the simulation system with Queuing model to the Yudeung Festival in Jinju, Korea. We proposed a Q-learning algorithm that could change the learning policy by setting the acceptability value of each parking lot as a threshold from the Jinju highway IC (Interchange) to the 7 parking lots. LoRa Network platform supports to browse parking resource information to each vehicle in realtime. The system updates Q-table periodically using Q-learning algorithm as soon as get information from parking lots. The Queuing Theory with Poisson arrival distribution is used to get probability distribution function. The Dijkstra algorithm is used to find the shortest distance.
Findings This paper suggest a simulation test to verify the efficiency of Q-learning algorithm at the circumstance of high traffic jam in a city during local festival. As a result of the simulation, the proposed algorithm performed well even when each parking lot was somewhat saturated. When an intelligent learning system such as an O-learning algorithm is applied, it is possible to more effectively distribute the vehicle to a lot with a high parking probability when the vehicle inflow from the outside rapidly increases at a specific time, such as a local city cultural festival.

Purpose With the advent of the 4th Industrial Revolution, related technologies such as IoT, big data, and artificial intelligence technologies are developing through not only specific companies but also a number of unspecified developers called open collaboration. For this reason, it is important to understand the nature of the collaboration that leads to successful open collaboration.
Design/methodology/approach We focused the relationship between the collaboration characteristics and collaboration performance of developers who participating in open source software development, which is a representative open collaboration. Specifically, we create the country-specific network and draw the individual developers characteristics from the network such as collaboration scope and collaboration intensity. We compare and analyze the characteristics of developers across countries and explore whether there are differences between indicators. We develop a Web crawler for GitHub, a representative OSSD development site, and collected data of developers who located at China, Japan, Korea, the United States, and Canada.
Findings China showed the characteristics of cooperation suitable for the form of weak tie theory, and consistent results were not drawn from other countries. This study confirmed the necessity of exploratory research on collaboration characteristics by country considering that there are differences in open collaboration characteristics or software development environments by country.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of reviewer's attributes on review usefulness while exploring the variables that can moderate the relationship between reviewer's attributes and review usefulness through empirical analysis.
Design/methodology/approach To understand the impact of online reviewer profiles on review usefulness and how these impacts change, this study collected more than 30,000 online reviews of restaurants through TripAdvisor.com, that is a representative OTA shares tourism information. We analyze the moderating effects of four variables such as review length, review equivocality, review uncertainty, and review readability.
Findings According to the empirical analysis result, this study reveals that the reviewer's profile attribute can significantly improve the review usefulness of the reviewer, and confirmed the moderating effect of the review's attribute(Review length, Equivocality, Uncertainty, Readability).

Purpose Cloud computing that provides a new paradigm for a firm's use of information technology is getting a lot of attentions by practitioners. However, the empirical investigation on members of organizations using cloud computing are insufficient. Therefore, this study aims to examine the capabilities and perceptions of organizational members that should be considered important for successful cloud computing implementation. 
Design/methodology/approach This study proposed factors related to the capabilities and perceptions of members of the organization, and examined the relationship between these factors and successful cloud computing implementation and performance. In addition, this study tested the moderating effect of leadership and continuous supports through empirical analysis. The proposed hypotheses were verified through structural equation modeling using SmartPLS3.0 with the collected data.
Findings The results showed that four factors except 'member behavior control' had a positive effect on successful cloud computing implementation, which had a positive effect on performance. In addition, leadership and organizational continuous support have been shown to strengthen the relationship among factors.
