This study was aimed to extract efficient school-industry cooperation system which will satisfy both of school and industry.  Present school-industry cooperation is deeply stagnant because of mutual distrust between university and industry. It is absolutely necessary that school and industry cooperation should be strengthened, for Korea to be progressed toward a leading country of Pacific Rim in 21st century. Therefore, an agreement of reliable cooperation system between school and industry should be established, and readjustment of view points of both parties is also necessary to change the wall of distrust formed between school and industry and build a strong consensus of trust.  This study had been done to develop a new model of school-industry cooperation to meet for our circumstance through analysis of current problems of school-industry cooperation by organizing specialist group.

The objectives of this study were to identify the types of Work Values of the junior college students, and to verify the characteristics of them.  The population of this study was the junior college students in the whole country. A total of 671 subjects were selected, and data collected from 634 subjects were used. Types of Work Values were identified through the factor analysis, and t-test between variables was used to determine the characteristics of the students. The research instrument used in this study was the Maryland Work Value Inventory(MWVI) designed by Meitus, R.  The findings of this study were as follows ;  a. Types of Work Values of the junior college students through the factor analysis can be classified and presented as Intrinsic Work Values(competency, contribution, achievement) and Extrinsic Work Values(reward, status, stability).  b. Work Values of the junior college students were reward, achievement, competency, status, contribution, stability in order.  c. Sophomores who will commence work near at hand place greater importance on intrinsic work values than freshmen.  d. Work Values were affected by parents` degree of education and occupation, especially by father`s. The results showed that father`s degree of education and occupation were major variables determining SES in a family.  e. The results suggest that extrinsic values(reward, status) was formed when parents` degree of education was higher and their occupation was more stable.

The objective of the study was to investigate the occupational decision making process of vocational high school graduates, and to recommend the strategies for career education in vocational high school. This research was done by reviewing the literature and by surveying vocational high school graduates. These vocational high school graduates were selected by using a three step stratified sampling method that categorized them according to regions (middle region/south region, city/rural) and school type(agricultural high school, industrial high school, and commercial high school). The data was analyzed through frequency, percent, ?? test, F test at 0.05 significance level.  The results of study were as follows;  When they were in the second or third grade of high school, they began to think about their job, and the preferred job of graduates at attending the school was differed with their major and graduate time. After they had graduated, their first job was mainly farming, fishery and mining, manufacturing, financial business and insurance according to their major. And, their present job was coined with their major and first job except for some degree deviation. And job change pattern have been differed by school type, and graduate time.  Job success factor was mainly responded to efforts between agricultural high school graduates and industrial high school graduates, but competence and skill by business high school graduates. And, they thought some factors as a job prospect, duty condition, job stability to job selection criteria.  Based in this results, some recommendation for career education in vocational high school should be described.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the work values and occupational preferences of middle school students in Korea. The population for this study consisted of all middle school students in Korea. Based upon the residential districts, 568 second grade students (344 males and 224 females) were drawn from the stratified population randomly. The data was collected by surveying the sample by using instruments that were developed through the review of literatures. An alpha level of 0.05 was established to analyze the data collected prior to its application. The work values and occupational preferences of middle school students and their related variables were identified. Based on the results, some recommendations were made in the paper.

The quality of education is dependent on teachers. In the similar vein, the quality of youth education depends on youth leaders. It has been known that job satisfaction is an important factor on job performance. Therefore, in order to provide youth with good education, youth leaders` job satisfaction should be considered.  The purpose of the present study were to investigate the differences of job satisfaction in youth leaders according to individual characteristics(sex, age, turnover experience, and work period) and organizational characteristics(type and size of organization). The subjects of the study were 107 youth leaders. Among them, 63(59.4%)were males whereas 43(40.6%) were females. The findings indicated that there were the differences in subelements of job satisfaction in terms of sex, age, turnover experience, work .period, and type and size of organization.

There are various methods to teach students in a real instruction field. Among those, the project method in the vocational technical education is that develop students` independent spirit and responsibility and concentrate the knowledge and skill together. It is generally considered a means by which students can develop social practice and democratic behavior, and besides apply for a special task individually at the vocational spot and motivate for a learning.   The specific objectives of this research were: ? to summarize the historical origin and concept of project method, ? to analysis developmental trend of project method in vocational technical education, ? to summarize the trend of project method in Korean vocational technical education.  This study was conducted to analysis about the historical origin and developmental prospect of project method in vocational technical education and make the importance of project method recognize in Korean vocational technical educational situation.

This studies to analyze the relation between math and major subjects of the technical high school and to test the level of the mathematical basic ability of students.  The examination of the relation between math and major subjects of Yeunmudae technical high school showed the consensus of the learning contents of middle school. There were some differences in some subjects but mostly it was related to algebraical calculation of the substitution of numerical value and the change of algebraic expression.  Testing of mathematical basic ability of 1st and 2nd school year students of technical high schools in Nonsan city showed that the average of all items lacked the standard records(60%). Because of the lack of mathematical basic ability and the cumulation of the serious learning loss, most students had poor records in math and they took little interest in math. Also this had an influence on the learning of the major subjects and they lost interest in the major subjects, either.  Mathematics teachers and major subject teachers should devise the methods of guidance which can improve the mathematical basic knowledge and the algebraical calculation abilities which are necessary for students to learn and understand the major subjects.

The objective of this study was to develop curriculum for the department of agronomy in the polytechnic university. Specific objectives were; (1) to explore the current status of the curriculum for the department of agronomy in the polytechnic university; (2) to investigate the educational needs of students and professors in the polytechnic university and farm managers; (3) to develop curriculum for the department of agronomy in the polytechnic university.  This study was carried out through review of literature, survey and discussion with panels of judges composed of experts in the crops production fields. Subjects for survey were 136.  Major findings were as follows : (1) the current status of the curriculum for the department of agronomy in the polytechnic university was identified; (2) the educational needs for the identified jobs were analyzed ; (3) the results of the job analysis and need assessment were reviewed by panels of judges to develop a curriculum for the department of the agronomy. (4) the curriculum for the department of agronomy was composed of the following subject areas; basic area(12 subjects, 36 credits), crops production(12 subjects, 36 credits), genetics and breeding(5 subjects, 15 credits), processing of products(2 subjects, 6 credit), management and marketing(6 subjects, 18 credits), environmental area(3 subjects, 9 credits), practice and seminar(3 subjects, 6 credits).  Based on the results of the study, recommendations were suggested.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the educational clients` needs for remodeling of client-centered secretarial curricula. Educational clients are students, graduates, and industries that employ the graduates.  340 questionnaires were distributed to junior college secretarial department graduates, secretaries, top-middle managers, and personnel managers, then collected 297 questionnaires. Through frequency analysis and ranking analysis about secretarial tasks and skills, we suggest some directions to reform secretarial curricula.  The results of this study are as followings : (1) Secretaries and Junior college graduates who completed the secretarial course want more computer application training and foreign language training programs. (2) Business managers want a well-adjusted, skilled secretary so they emphasize on business manner training. (3) Communication capability is the most important factor to carry out secretarial works, so secretarial curricula should provide many cases of secretarial practices and exercise programs. (4) The needs of managerial theory and practice are relatively small, so we must decrease our business training programs and increase computer or language training courses.
