Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the health care decision making of Ethiopian women at household level. Moreover it is to understand the factors that influence to potential customers in healthcare industry from the social quality level perspective.
Methods: We used Ethiopia Demographic Health Survey (EDHS) 2005 & 2016, which provided data about currently married women aged 15-49 years (N=2003, N=2017, respectively). We performed a chi-square test, and a Pearson correlation and a logistic regression. Andersen model is considered as well.
Results: This study revealed that the mobility decision making has an association with health care decision making of women. Furthermore, there is a moderate effect of an economic decision making of women. Lastly, the women’s decision making empowerment level increase year by year.
Conclusion: Health care industry has to consider potential costumers among women like in Ethiopia, whose decision making empowerment will enhance on their own healthcare in future. It is very important to figure out factors from the social quality management domain. It helps finding a new market from downstream approach. From this point, the impact of decision making of women empowerment has a significant implication from the holistic perspective.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to introduce the development trend of international standard in the innovative management system and propose the application method of the standard for SME certification system.
Methods: This study is based on literature studies and case studies considering the initial stage of development of standards as well as lack of domestic and international research examples. In the literature review, we focused on the characteristics of the innovation management system standards at the national, regional and global level. We examined case studies of Spain and Portugal as case studies. Besides, the evaluation items and certification status of domestic innovative SMEs certification were also searched to find out how to introduce them in Korea.
Results: The results of this study can be summarized in three major points. First, new international standards of innovation management are being developed under the ISO management system standard and are currently in the DIS stage. Second, in the case of Spain adopting the national innovation management system standard, it has been reported that the innovation management system standard has a significant effect on the innovation ability and management performance. Third, it was not easy to establish a standardized innovation process between the innovation based on creativity and the standardized based product. The Oslo manual was not enough to provide enough guidance in this area.
Conclusion: Companies that want to strengthen their organizational innovation capabilities from a management system point of view and Policymakers that want to plan the upgrading and integrated certification operating system of the domestic innovation SME certification need to consider the ISO 50500 series as a global level standard other than the Oslo manual.

Purpose: Currently, the morale of Quality People and Quality Department in Korea is low, so it is not doing enough work. This is one of the reasons why there is no theoretical support for the role of Role of Quality People and Quality Department. In this paper propose Role of Quality People and Quality Department in Korea.
Methods: We reviewed 'Quality History' of Juran and other literature Role of Quality People and future Quality. In addition, We surveyed the actual condition of Role of Quality People and Role of Quality Department in Korean. We propose Role of Quality People and Quality Department in Korea.
Results: We propose the Definition, Mission, Characteristic and Quality People Knowledge for the Role of Quality People and Role of Quality Department in Korean.
Conclusion: There is still work Role of Quality People and Role of Quality Department in Korean. We expect continuously to improve Quality Competitiveness by Quality Management with good Role of Quality People and Quality Department.

Purpose: It is to seek for an appropriate cost rate analysis methodology of credit card value propositions in Korea. For this issue, it is claimed that methodologies based on probability distribution is more suitable than methodologies based on data-mining. The analysis model constructed for the cost rate estimation is called VCPM model.
Methods: The model includes two major variables denoted as S and P. S is monthly credit card usage amount. P stands for the proportion of usage amount at special merchants over the whole monthly usage amount. The distributions assumed for P are positively skewed distributions such as exponential, gamma and lognormal. The major inputs to the model are also derived from S and P, which are E(S) and the aggregate proportion of usage amount at special merchants over the total monthly usage amount.
Results: When the credit card's value proposition is general discount, the VCPM model fits well and generates reasonable cost rate(denoted as R). However, it seems that the model does not work well for other types of credit cards.
Conclusion: The VCPM model is reliable for calculating cost rate for credit cards with positively skewed distribution of P, which are general discount card. However, another model should be built for cards with other types of distributions of P.

Purpose: To derive key requirements and key technologies for weapon system acquisition business by using Qualify Function Deployment (QFD), and to reduce business cost by setting the target performance and key expense of weapon system.
Methods: We propose a QFD methodology that can induce rational decision-making by translating analyst's subjective opinions into quantitative values when analyzing requirements at the initial stage of weapon system development project. Based on QFD methodology, QFD application model combining house of quality, value engineering, and analogy cost estimating technique is presented.
Results: It was possible to analyze the specific requirements necessary for the development of the weapon system, to solve the communication problem of the participants, to set clear development direction and target.
Conclusion: By applying the QFD application model at the early stage of the weapon system acquisition project, it is possible to reduce the business cost by establishing clear development direction and goal through the procedural analysis process.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop quality innovation techniques specialized for the small and medium-sized businesses. which account for the majority of Korean companies, were having a hard time utilizing the widely recognized quality innovation techniques due to resource constraints.
Methods: First, we do review the existing Single PPM and 6 Sigma. And investigate the utilization of these methods including Toyota Production System. Second, we devised a four-step problem-solving methodology based on recent trends in quality innovation such as Simple, Speedy, and Smart. Third, we do survey on frequently used tools for quality innovation. Many opinion leaders including quality consultants and professors answered and gave us valuable comments about our selected quality tools. Finally, we do specify and map tools to each step of PASS.
Results: In 2017, 167 companies participated in the quality innovation support business for small businesses according to the Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry. We conducted performance checks on 167 companies that had completed the “PASS” projects. For the purpose of evaluating improvement performance, the survey was carried out using a structured questionnaire during the field visit of these companies mentioned above. For the reference, 165 out of 167 companies (98.8 % response rate) responded to the questionnaire and conducted performance analysis based on it. According to the survey, 97.6 percent of the respondents were very satisfied with their overall satisfaction with the quality innovation support projects for small and medium sized enterprises in 2017. Also, 93.3 % of the respondents were satisfied with the results of level of the target achievement. As a result, 160 companies (97.0 % of the participating companies) hope to partic ipate in the quality improvement project using “PASS” once again.
Conclusion: In this paper, we introduce the new quality innovation methodology, which is named as 'PASS', It could support the long-range business plan of the small and medium-sized businesses to achieve total customer satisfaction resulting in increased market share and improved profit margin. The most small companies can use this “PASS” technique more easily, quickly and most efficiently than their existing known quality innovation techniques such as Six Sigma and Single PPM, etc.

Purpose: There are several KPI(key performance indicators) models: BSC(balanced scorecard), IPOO(Input-process-output-outcomes) indicators, QCDP(quality-cost-delivery-productivity) indicators. This paper analyze these models and gives some suggestions to help the effective usage of KPI.
Methods: This paper reviews and summarize the criteria to evaluate the PI(performance indicators) through literature review. Evaluation and analysis on the PI factors of the KPI developing models is performed by the criteria.
Results: Criteria to evaluate the PI, which can be used to evaluate the goodness of PI is suggested. This paper also proposes some suggestions for the KPI models and their factors for the effective development of PI in the organization.
Conclusion: This research will help the managers to develop and select useful PI and KPI for their business and processes.

Purpose: This study empirically examines the effect of Communication Privacy Management(CPM) factors and Privacy Calculus factors to the intention to disclose Personal Health Information(PHI) in the context of healthcare ecosystem. Also, it investigates the moderating effects of CPM factors in the relationship between privacy calculus variables and the intention to disclose PHI.
Methods: We conducted scenario-based repeated-measures quasiexperiment and used total 364 samples for analysis. Confirmatory factor analysis and repeated-measure ANOVA were employed using SPSS 24.0.
Results: All CPM factors, such as type of information, requesting purpose, and requesting stakeholder, directly influence to the intention to disclose PHI, whereas only the medium trust out of the Privacy Calculus factors has direct influence on the intention to disclose PHI. With regard to the moderating effects, the requesting stakeholder is the most influential and the information type is the least influential construct.
Conclusion: The findings suggest that healthcare system should be designed to provide more definite and personalized benefits to customers to enhance social and individual benefits by getting more participation from customers. Also, it is desirable that the requesting stakeholder of PHI would be non-profit organizations such as hospital, government or public agencies to secure more willingness of PHI from people. Furthermore, it is implied that extensive information gathering and utilization, instead of excluding sensitive information or critical patients' records, is recommended which is substantial to invigorate the healthcare industry.

Purpose: Generally, since the population density is lower in suburban areas, the distance to school is inevitably long. Therefore, schools in suburban areas often operate school buses to improve student welfare. However, since school buses are usually used only during going to and from school, the utilization rates are relatively low. Therefore, this study aims to establish integrated operation plan of public school bus covering all schools.
Methods: It is necessary to decide which school buses will serve the specific demand node which want to go to certain school in order to design an integrated operation plan for school buses. Therefore, a mathematical model is developed for minimizing the total number of vehicles and the distance of transportation by reflecting the characteristics of school buses and students as constraints. To solve the proposed mathematical model, CPLEX, a commercial solver, is applied.
Results: To validate and to confirm the proposed process, numerical example is designed with the comparison between before and after integrated operations of school buses in terms of total operation cost. The result shows that the integrated operation can lead the reduction of the number of school buses as well as the decreasing of the fuel cost.
Conclusion: This study provides the quantitative method to perform the integrated operation of school buses in suburban areas. The optimal operation strategy is required because there are more complex decision-making elements considering the integrated operation. It is expected to apply this research result at real situation to expand this services based on an optimal operation.

Purpose: This study provides an overview of the Product Liability Act which was revised in 2017 and took effect in 2018. It analyzes the effects of the revised Act on corporate management from internal and external perspectives to present coping strategies so that companies can synthetically respond to such effects.
Methods: In order to achieve the purpose of this study, experts like companies, academia, governmental institutions, and consultants were invited, and Delphi techniques were applied to derive means, standard deviations, and Content Validity Ratio.
Results: In this study, based on two expert questionnaire surveys, strengths and weaknesses of the internal environment of companies and opportunities and threats of the external environment were derived, followed by provision of S/O, W/O, S/T, and W/T strategies.
Conclusion: To fundamentally remove the causes of accidents on their products, the relevant companies should strengthen the activities to increase product safety. They shall cooperate with suppliers to arrange the measures to speedily secure safety of consumers.

Purpose: O2O service are becoming popular in various industries such as food delivery and taxi. This research explores how users' motivation of O2O service influence customer loyalty through expectation-confirmation and satisfaction. this study attempts to explore the motivation factor (i.e. pricing, enjoyment, immediately, social influence) and to empirically examine the relationships between those and users' loyalty to O2O service.
Methods: To test the proposed research model, a survey research methodology was used. Paper survey was distributed to O2O service users in Korea. A total of 198 data were used for the analysis. Structural equation modeling was used to test hypotheses.
Results: According to our findings, this study found that satisfaction was positively influenced by users' motivation factors. all hypotheses about the effect of motivation on expectation-confirmation were statistically not significant.
Conclusion: O2O service providers should consider the results of this study to satisfy users' expectations and satisfaction for building a better O2O market.
