After 60 years of development, the Korean tourism has achieved great accomplishment, especially in the aspects of tourism law and regulation formulation, tourism facility improvement, tourism brand construction, etc. Recently, the international tourism plays an much more important roles in Korean tourism. The article will take the high development of Asia tourism as basic, take economic support, tourism status, passenger transported, tourism service, investment, social civilization and natural environment, etc as index and then divide the index into 14 specific indexes, finally use grey correlation analysis method to discuss factors of influencing international tourism income of Korea. The results indicated that the Korean international tourism income is highly correlated with the number of inbound tourists, tourism companies and hotels, which means if Korea want to accelerate the growth of international tourism income, improve the number of inbound tourists, tourism companies and hotels will be very important.

This article introduces the hotel rating system focusing on the qualitative evaluation criteria. It is an overall review of the hotel rating system from its background, scope of the rating system, and overall criteria summary. This article also aims to find out how to improve the hotel rating system dealing with practical issues. To serve the purpose of this study, the researcher has conducted a group interview in joint efforts with two specialists from the related business fields and five professors who have experience in hotel rating business. Based on an analysis of the interview, the researcher suggests the followings. Firstly, the qualitative evaluation criteria should have detailed sub-criteria. Secondly, the detailed sub-guide line should be provided in qualitative evaluation criteria. Thirdly, Mystery shopper criteria should be more detailed. Lastly, computerized system should be implemented. This study could contribute to improve the hotel rating system and eventually quality of hotel industry.

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether hotel banquet has a great influence on hotel management and whether the characteristics of banquet hall choice attributes affect customer satisfaction, the relation between customer satisfaction and redirect inquiry, customer satisfaction and recommendation tactics. We will analyze the relationship. The purpose of this study is to present differentiated strategies and suggestions for hotel conferences to gain competitive advantage through such relationship analysis. First, hotel banquets are used more than 30 years of age and the purpose of attending banquets is to use hotel banquet rooms for family gatherings, corporate meetings, conferences, etc. Second, hotel banquet choice attributes affect customer satisfaction. And cleanliness affect customer satisfaction. Also, it was found that banquet room food affects customer satisfaction. Third, the satisfaction of customers using the hotel banquet was found to influence the visit to the hotel banquet. Based on the empirical analysis, the implications are as follows. First, the distribution of the occupation of the customers using the hotel banquet hall and the purpose of attending the banquet are widely distributed and the hotel banquet manager should be interested in all customers. Second, small complaints demanded by customers are also important to make returning customers of hotel banquet hall loyal customers.

The purpose of this study is test to the structural relationships of self monitoring and self presentation, self esteem, customer orientation, service commitment in the hotel industry. To accomplish the goals, a field survey was conducted on the employees' of deluxe hotels in the Seoul area. The statistical tools to be undertaken in this research were frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and covariance analysis using the statistical package of SPSS (18.0) and AMOS (18.0). The results of this study could be summarized as follows; First, the self monitoring have a positively affect on the level of hotel employees' self esteem. Second, the self monitoring have a positively affect on the level of hotel employees' customer orientation. Third, the self monitoring have a positively affect on the level of hotel employees' service commitment. Fourth, the self presentation have a positively affect on the level of hotel employees' self esteem. Fifth, the self presentation have a positively affect on the level of hotel employees' customer orientation. Sixth, the self presentation have a positively affect on the level of hotel employees' service commitment. Seventh, self esteem has a positive effect on customer orientation. Eighth, self esteem has a positive effect on service commitment. In the last chapter, the paper concludes with discussions and the managerial implications for effective personnel policies.

The purpose of the study was to present a comprehensive view on relationships among employees' individual factors, organizational support factors, learning satisfaction, and transition effect in a hotel industry. In total, 237 cases were analyzed by deluxe hotels which are located in Seoul. These results are based on research, and the outcomes are as follows: In individual factors, the levels of employees' motivation were positively related to learning satisfaction and transition effect. However, employees' career development planning & experiences did not have an effect on learning satisfaction. However, all factors in organizational support for employees' online program were positively related to learning satisfaction and transition effect. In this case, as organizational efforts are needed to improve the results of online learning program effectively. Hotel companies have to make efforts to make cultures that can recognize employees' improvement from learning and reward them in various ways. When organizational culture and support can make employees more satisfied about their learning programs and they come to apply learning to their works effectively.

The results of this study are as follows: First, it can be seen that the management of group conflict of hotel employees directly affects organizational commitment. Second, group conflicts among hotel employees directly affect the effectiveness of the organization. This implies that leadership, goal difference, and group management, which are the group conflict factors, directly affect the satisfaction of organizational relationship and organization. Third, personal conflicts related to employee welfare, promotion system, and sense of accomplishment of hotel employees have a direct impact on organizational commitment. Fourth, the personal conflicts among hotel employees have a direct effect on the satisfaction of the organization, the satisfaction of the organization, and the relationship with the employees in the organization. Fifth, the organizational commitment of a hotel company has a direct correlation with financial performance and non-financial performance. Sixth, organizational effectiveness such as direct relationship in hotel organization and satisfaction of organization of employees affects business performance. Through the conclusion of this study, we hope that effective research will be conducted not only for hotel companies but also for all related fields with high human dependency

The study tried to demonstrate the personal characteristics, job satisfaction and the impact of the working environment on self-efficacy for the employees of the resort enterprise. In order to achieve the purpose of this research, the empirical research was analyzed for employees working at resort companies in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Gangwon areas, and the following research results and suggestions could be found. First, in the human environment, the physical environment, the compensatory environment, and the operational environment of the organization, the remaining factors, excluding the human financial ration, have a significant impact on job satisfaction. Second, the four functions of the resort company work environment directly affect the outcome variable self-efficacy at picker time. Third, personal characteristics of resort company workers found that the five factors do not directly affect job satisfaction. Fourth, depending on emotional factors and liking factors, etc. of the factors of personal characteristics, have a significant influence on the self-efficacy. Finally, the research results have been derived that the job satisfaction of resort workers affects their own pickers. A model for the business results of resort companies is presented through the continuous research in the future.

Recently the issue about the minimum wages increase has been occurred seriously. This study is focused on analyzing the effect of minimum wages increase on the lodging industry and find out some problems and suggest the reasonal ways to handle them. To accomplish the study purpose, we analyzed the differences of employee's characteristic, employment type and payroll type between pre and post minimum wages increase. As the result of analysis, there were the differences in the number of male and female employees, in the number of employees in the all age group of under 19 age band, 20-24 age band, 30-34 age band, 40-44 age band, 45-49 age band, 50-54 age band, 55-59 age band and over 60 age band and in the number of employees in the group of high school graduation, junior college graduation and university graduation significantly between pre and post minimum wages increase. And also the significant differences were founded in the number of employees in the all types of regular, irregular, seasonal and part-time employment. And only annual special salary was different significantly between pre and post minimum wages increase as a payroll type variable. Conclusionally the managers of lodging firms should consider the problems occurred by the minimum wages increase carefully and try to handle them efficiently.

Currently, the border area is free from North Korea's influence, and it needs a conservation and management strategy to preserve the natural environment and bring real benefits to local residents. The purpose of this study is to suggest a development plan of the border region based on the theme of healing by transforming the walking route that is currently under the spotlight into tourism contents. For this research purpose, this study utilized the results of the analysis of walking trips and related documents and data of previous studies as data collection method. In particular, it was explored by reference to related policy reports, statistical data, periodicals, monographs, and newspaper articles. Because data collection and analysis were performed simultaneously in the data analysis, the common elements were classified in the reviewed data through the iterative process. Through this, I tried to describe even some abstracts about the route of walking as a tourism content on the subject of healing. As a method of analyzing the data, we focused on the subject of this study through the theme analysis on the walking tour route as the topic of healing, and analyzed the development method of the core tourist content in the border region through the contents analysis. In particular, the results of previous studies related to walking routes were typified and described. We have concentrated on maximizing the value of tourism in the tourism industry, which is one of the areas with the greatest growth potential among the fields for revitalization of the regional economy in the future border region. In other words, this study, which will be the basic data in the development plan of the walking route in the border area in the future, systematically analyzes the walking route in the future, and concentrated on exploring the walking route of the border area as tourism contents in depth.

The purpose of the study is to generate basis of developing curriculum for the education of tour consultants of tourist information center. The study employed a systematic job analysis method to subdivide jobs of tourist information center into elements, and to develop job description. The study was conducted in three phases. First, the systematic procedure for job analysis was developed through literature review and expert meeting. Given the procedure, second, in-depth interviews were conducted with expert practitioners of tourist information center. Third, DACUM process was employed to develop job profiles in tourist information center In this phase, DACUM workshops were conducted two times with 7 expert workers in the field of tourist information center. DACUM panels discussed such topics as elements of tourist information center occupation, their description, the specificknowledge, skills and behavior required by workers in order to effectively perform their tasks as described. Finally, the study produced a job model for tourist information center, duty and tasks, and the specific knowledge, skills and behavior for competence of tour consultants. More specific, the study developed five duties including tour consulting, reservation, convenience service, publication and marketing, facility management of tourist information center, and presented 23 specific tasks. The limitations and directions for future research are discussed.
